Just finished this out last night.  Great game and a satisfying end to the series.  One of the best games I've seen this gen and rivals Uncharted 2 in terms of visuals.  Lots of HOLY SH1T!!! moments.  I'm anxious to see what you guys think of the ending, make sure you watch through the credits.

My wife doesn't care to see it, and wants me to play it when the kids aren't around.  When I ripped the eyeball out of the cyclops, and tore the head off Helios in the demo, my wife lost interest.   :laugh2:

I got started on this last night.  I didn't get a chance to get too far, but I can pretty much sum it up in a few words...HOLY MOTHER******* ****!!!

The scale is incredible.  The whole friggin background is completely moving around on you.  The ground you're even playing on is always shifting and flipping around under your feet.  I'll leave it at that for now, but this game is going to be a hell of a ride.

I traded in Modern Warfare 2 and I think I'm going to go pick up the GoW pack with 1 and 2 in it so I can play through those before jumping into 3.

Did you see the gameplay a while back around E3 time where they showed Kratos ripping the eyeball from that cyclops?   :righton:

Hellz yeah.  The demo on PSN is pretty fun, best part is when you rip Helios' head off his body but this new stuff looks badass.   :BNB:

I almost got the collection this weekend, but I picked up a Blu instead.  I really just haven't been playing games for the past month, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.  I'll pick it up eventually, just when I have time to actually play it.

You can earn trophies, even a platinum, in each game.  Also, they look much better than the PS2 version and run smoothly.  Only gripes I have is that they didn't remaster the sound into 5.1 and God of War I doesn't have true widescreen support and kinda looks stretched out in some places.

Just saw on CAG that Amazon has the collection for $29.99.  That's a great deal for anyone who doesn't have it.

Did you ever play the PS2 versions of God of War? wonder if the HD collection is worth buying if it really makes a big difference. Also do you get trophies from the PS2 versions or just the collection?

I never played the ps2 versions but according to all the reviews the game now runs at 60 fps in HD. The cut scenes are not in hi def but the game looks great. This video review shows the difference between the 2.(Click on review to see the changes)

I recently picked up the GoW Collection and I'm in the middle of Gow II and I freaking love it!
GoW III can not get here fast enough.
I'm getting Darksiders today and I hope it's half as good.

If you buy Darksiders @ TRU you get a $10 giftcard.  If you buy that and Bayonetta you get a $40 giftcard.  Promo ends 1/7
