Xbox won't be here until tomorrow it says, so I'll download it then.

Funny how it takes 4 days to get there but over a week to get back.  What a bunch of bs...

Borderlands Game Add-on: New Revolution is out today in the US.

Price: 800 Points

To combat second hand sales of used munitions among greedy, haggling treasure hunters on Pandora, the Hyperion Corporation have decided to activate the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap. Instead, it has organized all of the claptraps into a revolution, and they’ve been assimilating all life on Pandora and converting them into claptraps. With our heroes caught in the middle, they must stop the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap in order to release his control over all of Pandora’s claptraps and collect their reward, of course.

Aftr cited an article from the Penny Arcade expo that said the 4th DLC will be out on Sep 28.

The only date I could find for the update that includes the level cap increase is in an article posted by The Escapist

Quote
The Borderlands update is expected to be distributed around the time of the game-of-the-year edition's release on October 12

Does anyone know when either of these Downloads are coming out? I can't find a definite date on the Borderlands website, Gearbox's website,Gamespot, or Xbox live.

If you have the armory DLC, having high level players kill the worms, crabs and crawmerax is a very easy way to level.  Leggitt had me up from 18 to 48 in about an hour.  Once I got the shotgun and shield, I took myself up to 61 in another hour or two.

wanna get to level 50 fast? get someone who is level 61 to play co-op with you on the last level before the big boss, eridian level? and you just hang back while they kill all the guardians, and lance and you rack up points. I went from level 13-34 in less than 2 hours. we only ran through a few times, also if you can hang out and go through crawmax that could work too.

Loving the higher cap. Just got to level 61 yesterday. Thanks Chill. have a few more cheevos to go, anyone willing to let me wail on em for the duels cheevo? lol

still think they need to make claptrap a playable character, his special could be duel gatlin guns for a few seconds. could be fun.

New DLC and a bigger level cap!  I still need to get my guy to 50 first...  I just beat the Knoxx campaign, but still have a few bounty hunter jobs left till I get that chievo as well...  Guess it'll be back to my 2nd play-through to get my levels

A patch is coming out soon, before the new DLC, that will raise the level cap to 69 (:laugh2:) for everyone, if you have Armory of General Knoxx or not, and will fix some glitches.

Quote
During the Gearbox panel at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle this weekend, studio president Randy Pitchford announced Borderlands: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution, the fourth downloadable add-on pack for the game, will be released on Sept. 28, 2010.

Pitchford also had another surprise up his sleeve for fans by saying a new patch for Borderlands will be released that increases players' level cap by eight. The patch will be available to everyone for free, even if you did not purchase the The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC, which increased the level cap from 50 to 61. The new cap limit is now level 69.

Gearbox doesn't have a set release date for the patch, but Pitchford said they're aiming near the release date of the Claptrap DLC.

Claptrap's New Robot Revolution will be available for download on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $9.99. Gearbox previously announced a Game of the Year edition for Borderlands will be out on Oct. 12 that includes all four downloadable add-on packs for $59.99.

Just an FYI for anyone looking to maybe get Borderlands.
A Game of the Year edition has just been announced.  It will be out in October for $59.99 and will include all 4 packs of DLC.  Each piece of DLC is $10 and I think Borderlands itself can still only be found for $30-$35.  So that's a good savings and I'm sure if you wait for just a bit, you will be able to find it for $40 which will be quite a steal.

I had a great time Dragon.  Glad I was able to hop on and help out.  Its pizza and movie night on Fridays here so I am not always able to hop on, but at the same time, its hard trying to pay attention to a movie with Jackson awake, so I just went into my new game room lol...  The wife didn't seem to care and I got to game, so it seemed like a win win

Had lots of fun last night guys, finally got through the 3 small arenas in the underdome. Me, Chill,Panoramix and Mr. Ligett played some borderlands and thanks to some weapon upgrades I think I can finally finish up with what I need to get completion, except the duels. still need to win a few duels. but again had a blast it had been awhile since I've gamed online. Thanks.

Well, I keep that lvl 16 siren around just to help other's out.  Like Spetre said, it makes it ALOT easier when all the enemies are so low lvl from you.
I'm engrossed in Alan Wake right now.  What a GREAT game, can't stress that enough.  Everyone should definitely pick this game up when they can.  Anyway, as soon as I finish it and you see me on, I'll be glad to help.  I'll be working on achievements after I beat it though so just message me when you see me on.
yeah , Alan wake is really good huh. I enjoyed the style, it was a nice change from the norm. And to think I wasn't going to get if then I saw kmart having a great launch day offer and bit. It was alittle short, but good none the less.

I've finally found the one thing that might stop me from playing this game for a while.  The large tournaments for The Underdome.  I did The Gully by myself the other day and despite beating it, damn was it long and annoying.

Another sad side note is that despite having millions upon millions of dollars, I still stop to pick up the bundles of money worth $30 or so.  I can't help it.
lol , yeah the tourneys are long and tedious esp solo. It worked well when Aftr hosted them as a level 15 or so, and three of use were level 50+. It took use around 2.5-3 hours each tourney that way. And, I was the same way for a long time with the guns and money, pick up junk to sell even when had like a billion dollars.

I also have it Dave so if you see me I can also copy it for you.  It allowed me to beat Crawmerax several times and just about the entire armory so I could get my Hunter ready for the new DLC.  I figure everyone else will be using a Soldier, so I thought I'd switch it up a bit.

It does make the game kinda boring though knowing that just 1 shot kills everything that you are more invincible that Crawmerax himself...

Yeah, it's modded so there's no level requirement.  When you see me get online, send me an invite so we can dupe it for you.

MrLeggitV2 and OldSkoolTarHeel both have them as well.  I'm sure either would be happy to dupe it for you.
