I have a beta key and didn't even realize it.  I'll give it a run tonight.
At that moment a voice came over me and said, Look up, get up, and don't ever give up. You tell everyone or anyone that has ever doubted, thought they did not measure up or wanted to quit, you tell them to look up, get up and don't ever give up.

So, after playing the two game types that are available for about 2 hours, here's what I'm seeing so far:

Assault/Team Death Match - Pretty standard run and gun here.  I didn't see anything particularly new here.  Pretty standard weapons and such.  Leveling unlocks various items.  Extended magazines first, different weapons, different sights, suppressors, etc.  It's pretty similar to BC2, but slightly different (unlock this gun, then those attachments, then this gun, then this attachment, etc.).

No way to mark the opposing team on your mini map.  There are kill streak awards which do put an unfair advantage in campers' hands (sound familiar?), especially on the objective map that's available.  The mortar strikes and such are like BC2 (through binoculars) instead of top down.

The objective map is sort of like rush.  You hit successive objectives and have an attack and defend option.  In the demo, you just take turns being americans (attach) or taliban (defend).

This is a camper's dream.  Get a few levels and unlock a better sniper rifle and a scope and you can camp to your heart's content on this game type.

This is more tactical than MW in that you have to run cover to cover, but there's still spawn camping, still noob tubes and still campers.

I think this is a little too much like a MW2 clone as it stands.  With another CoD game coming out I think this one's solidly in the "maybe" camp.

Also, even on a 42" it was tough to see the players.  If they're in the distance, they're tiny.

3 classes - Assault, Engineer, Sniper.  Noob Tube, Rockets and...I don't know.  I don't know the levels well enough to be able to camp, so I couldn't get jack all done with the sniper rifle.

Those guys that are already level 5-8 are wrecking $hit.  Spawn camping, mortar strikes, etc.  I couldn't drive 30 yards in the tank before being taken out by an IED (not only do you need a good gunner, you need a flanking soldier on the ground to watch your sides/back 'cause both cannon and turret leave a 5-10' circle around the tank you can't attack).

With the right team and tactical approaches, the objective matches could be fun.  But otherwise this just turns into a MW clone where randoms watch you die so they can preserve their k/d ratio (mine was decent for the demo, going 29/10 on one match).

To sum up:
Pros: Instant respawn in assault, great graphics

Cons: Kill streaks = Campers, no destructible environment, slower leveling than MW2 and BC2 (each level feels like level 1 in BC2).

This doesn't feel like a casual game to me.  Even BC2 mellowed out to be a casual game once I got the hang of the maps and objectives.  This feels like you'll need to learn every nook and cranny of every map and either camp, or constantly flank the enemy.  Not BAD, just not very fun.  If they had lightweight and that long reach stabbing perk, it'd be square in the MW2 column.

First day buy for me?  I don't know.  I'll have to see what else it offers.  If this is it and only a couple other dads are going to get it, I'll probably pass.  You don't get dog tags in this one.
