*Update*



The doctor came in at 7am this morning, at the hospital and noticed my wife wasn't progressing, So my wife got fed up and said O.K. I'll go for a C-section. They cam and got her at 9:30am and our baby girl Emma Hope E****, was born at 10:38am and weighing in at 8 lbs 10 oz. and 21 1/2" long.

Everything was fine, the baby is doing great! Wife is doing great! Besides the usual soreness.

This makes day 2 in the hospital for my wife. Basically it's either tonight she has it natural by some miracle or if my wife isn't in labor by tomorrow afternoon, she made the decision that she will go ahead for a C-section. Although after that procedure she will have more downtime from work. Instead of a 6 week maternity leave it will be an 8 week leave.

As far as my decision well.........I have no say so  Only way I'll have any say so is when my wife isn't capable of making her own decisions. 

Thanks fella's for the support. It feels less stressful to type away here then to think about it all day.

good luck with the new baby, a c sectiion mite be the safest way to go for both your wife and new baby. We had a planned c section because they were worried that our 8lb. baby was to much for my fiances frame, so best of luck to you and your family!!!

Good luck!  The rules for the H1N1 scare are bull.  I hope you can get a baby sitter for a little while so you can be there, if not I'm sure your wife will understand.

Congratulations and good luck with everything! I know how anxious you can get while you're waiting for your wife to be induced. When my wife had Spencer she was induced at 9 AM on Wednesday, and the doctor decided a little after midnight to do a C-Section. It was the worst 15 or so hours of my life. Looking from outside, it is always easier to see their rationale and go along w/ it, but that doesn't mean I would be happy about it.  If it's a risk the family is willing to take and explained the possible outcome, then sign a waiver and let the kids in.  It was crap that they allowed you in and then the pediatricians complained and the rules changed again.

Well, whatever, congrats on the new addition and you know what to expect by now.

Congrats Chris.   I know you probably don't like that rule they have in place, but it's there for a reason.  Having said that, I would probably be upset too.   But I hope that all goes well.  Good luck!

For some that already know, me and my wife are expecting another addition in the family.

Well yesterday evening my wife was admitted by the doctor to get setup to be induced. She is in there as I type. For some may ask, why am I not there? Simply because they have new rules and regulation where any kids at the age of 14 and under is not allowed in the Labor room, this goes for siblings as well. Well of course I threw my normal temper tantrum and followed the rules, the kids were upset because they wanted to see mommy.

Me and my kids were sitting in the waiting room while a nurse comes in and says "I need to check there temperature" I said "Why?" Well the infection board said that if the kids didn't have a fever or an abnormal temperature they were allowed back. COOL! The kids were allowed back.......for an hour and a half. Then the nurse came in and basically came in and told me and my wife this will be the last time the kids will be allowed back here. Because the pediatrician's were throwing fits, the rules went back to normal. (the reason for this rule was because of the H1N1/Flu bug.)

So now here I wait at home, waiting for a phone call, for my wife to go into labor.

As far as her condition: She had the first part of the inducing started yesterday evening and at 3am this morning the second part is happening. And the doctor will be in at 7am. If my wife isn't progressing, then the doctor will more then likely make the decision, to go ahead and take the baby, C-section. Since our baby weighs in at around an estimated 9-10lbs. Hopefully everything goes well.
