PC is way out of control. While a big part of PC is supposedly tolerance, I have yet to see very much tolerance from it.

Joe don't feel bad about the way you treated that Veteran. The are A-holes in all walks of life and that includes the services. A veteran deserves respect for being a vet, but that does not mean it isn't their responsibility to keep that respect. If they act like asses treat them as such. They lost what their status as veterans earns them and that is their responsibility not yours.

Well, while we're on the subject...Joe, could you remove "dvm" from your user name?   I had a girlfriend long ago with those initials and just seeing them brings up bad memories and I should have to look at them.

Also, your picture in your avatar looks a lot like the guy who cut me off in traffic yesterday, so change that too.

PC has always gone too far as far as I'm concerned.  When Bill Maher had his show Politically Incorrect I loved his explanation of the name.  Politically Incorrect means honest, it means instead of saying what would be socially and politically acceptable, I'm going to tell you how I feel and be completely honest.  More people need to be politically incorrect as far as I'm concerned.

PC gone too far

I have seen it all now. I was at work this morning and a  guy comes in the front office and starts yelling at my receptionist that my phone number on the sign out front is offensive to him. For those that don't know, I am a veterinarian. Our office phone number is 922-VETS. He claimed that he was homeless and a military veteran and for some reason that made my number offensive to him and that I should change it. I tried to explain to him that vet is also an abbreviation for veterinarian and that it was appropriate for our business. He kept being unreasonable and said that he shouldn't have to see that number. I finally lost my cool with him and told him to GTFO, and that if the sign bothered him that much he should look the other way when passing by. I usually am very appreciative and respectful to military veterans. I don't know if this guy was really a veteran, but he definitely was a d&ck. I think that was an example of the PC movement to the extreme. This BS has to stop now.
