A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by george r. r. martin  a bit slow at first but getting into it now.

Finished Warbreaker a couple of days ago, awesome book, rather abrupt ending though (not bad, but definitely left it open for another book).

Just finished the first couple of chapters of "A Game of Thrones" last night.  Got a road trip tomorrow so should be well into it by the weekend.

Sounds good, I just finished the 8th or 7th book in the ranger series the next one doesn't come out until May.  I think I read all the books in this series in about 2 months.

Looking forward to Warbreaker to fill the gap until May.

Whats that Fire and Ice Series you mention?

Warbreaker was actually really good. Not quite as good as Mistborn series but as good as Elantris. A few parts seemed to drag and I think he described the colors and decorations of the palaces in a bit too much detail at times but it was a great over all story. Gods, betrayal, princesses, mercenaries, a bit of "magic" it worked well and I read it in a few weeks.

I am going to start the ranger series when I'm done with the fire and ice series. They looked good but wasn't sure I wanted to jump into a series that long.

haven't tried the wheel of time series yet. we seem to have similar tastes in books. if you couldn't finish it I probably couldn't either.

I don't know it just seemed to drag on to me.

I am currently reading Ranger's Apprentice, oddly enough I'm on Book 7, but the books are each a short story, well written, and I could probably read them in about 2 days, but it takes me about a week or two, just reading an hour or two every so often.

Let me know what you thought of Warbringer when you finish.

I haven't read Warbreaker or his Alcatraz series of books yet, but the Mistborn and Elantris series were very good.

Mistborn is on my all time favorites list.

I dobt I will read the Robert Jordan, Wheel of Time, Book he is gong to write, as I only made it to the seventh book in that series and couldn't take it anymore.
