I currently have a SDTV and it is getting to the point that you can't read any of the text on the new games (Hello ME2). Does anyone know what a good HDTV is for an XBox360? 360s are build for 720p correct?

arron, if you don't want to spend a lot you can do what I did.  I bought a LCD computer monitor for my computer and hooked the xbox up to it.  (you need a VGA xbox cable.)  Same as a high def tv set, and you can play xbox without taking the tv over on the family.  I've seen 19" wide screen monitors for $99.  Whatever you choose good luck.

I did the same thing as pin. Still switch back to it from time to time. I have a 22 inch widescreen monitor, and a decent set of 2.1 computer speakers. I actually prefer this set up for most games.

Exactly the same thing.  I found a clearanced set of 2.1 speakers at radio shack.  They were mid $20 range (originally 50% more or so) and I love my set up.

Xbox is 720p though.  I would look at Vizio's if you want a TV though for a bargain deal.  If not, then I like the Sony and Samsung TV's personally.  But there is certainly nothing against what Rob and Pin do as well.  Just offering different suggestions.

when I traveled back to Texas from Alaska a couple of years ago, I hooked up my 360 up to my 22" widescreen monitor...  I played Tiger 09 on it for most of the trip...  I can honestly say it didn't look any better then what it did on my 61" HDTV...  It looked the same to me...  To each his own though...

A big one and one you can afford. Not specifically in that order.
