damn, talk about memories  coming back.  Votlron, Thundercats... the lunch boxes, and Saturday morning cartoons.  I miss those days.  Remember when TV was not broadcasted all night.  Many mornings i would wake up and have the multi-colored screen, and have to wait for the broadcasting to begin.  It is amazing how much times have changed since then.  And don't forget the old Transformer and GI Joe cartoons.

The old GI Joe cartoons, ever noticed no one ever died? Every time the helicopters and stuff were shot down there was always a parachute

Yeah, TV going out, I forgot about that.  Alot of times it was after the Late Night Show.  And you were screwed.  Then VCR tapes came out, and then you could watch movies anytime you wanted, or record shows that came on TV.  I remember my mom would never let you press rewind while it was playing.  Said she didn't like how it was playing forward and you were going against that.  You had to stop the tape and rewind it and guess how far back you wanted to go.  Tapes would eventually go out and you would have to mess w/ that tracking.  Finally got rid of the knobs on TV's and tuning, only to go to "tracking" on a VCR.   :laugh2:

And changing the channels I can remember when I was the remote control and if you watched channel 33 you had to turn the upper dial to U. Then your parents would bitch cause you turned it as fast as you could and it would go click click click click click and they would say you gonna wear out the knob.

I used to keep an old fishing rod next to my bed so I wouldn't have to get up to change the channel.  I got a fancy TV when I was a little older that had buttons on top.  You had to flip these switches, then rotate this little dial to find the channel you wanted.  Once the channel was set, you'd just have to tap the buttons on top to change channels.  Remember the tuner knob on TVs?  When you went to "U", you also had this little 'focus' type knob that you could turn to dial in the channel a little better.

Whatever happened to woody woodpecker

Probably went the same place that the Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas show went.  Oh, and Saturday morning cartoons.  That was the ONLY reason to wake up at 6AM on a Saturday.

And I was getting ****ed by the gaming industry even when I was a kid.  I remember getting so mad because I kept dropping in those damn holes playing Atari E.T.  Yea, I got suckered.

I used to hate when those spaceship voltron fags came on as well.   The lions ruled w/ Hunk and all.

How can you say the red scooter was the gay one?  I looked it up.  He was Crasher and attached a pic.  Look at him for crying out loud.  He's wearing mascara.  It's a Ru Paul GoBot for crying out loud.

I had a Snoopy Snowball Stand as well.  Use to have to beg my parents to make snow cones though.
Yeah, commodore.  Load "Robocop" ,8 ,1.   :laugh2:  Good times.  And that black and green screen.  Woah.  Remember basic programming where you had to draw a picture on graph paper and then write the program to draw it, each pixel at a time.

Mortal Kombat was the game I first got good at.  I could beat the game in .25.  Learned all the fatalities for every character.  That game kicked SFII's a**.  And how about arcades in general.  Use to be stand alone affairs in the mall.  Nothing but video games, no tickets for prizes.  That was Chuck E Cheese stuff.  Just workers walking around w/ quarters to change out dollars.  Big screen games and cabinets that you could sit in.  So much fun.  Wish they were still profitable.  I remember the newest games were .50, but that was it.  No higher.  Wasn't until I started getting into my teenage years that you started seeing games for .75 and even a $1 per play.  That was the death of the arcade I think.

Voltron, Thundercats

Hell yeah Voltron, the first one with the five lions not the stupid one made of like 40 ships, it used to tick me off when they showed those, dont know if yall remember but it was the lions for a few months, then the ship one a few months, then the lion.

You can still here me and Damian sometimes say on Xbox "And I'll form the head"

Am I the only one that thought Cheetara was hot?

I had a Commodore 64 pre disk drive when the games were on cassette tape. I had Snoopy's Snowball Stand, I was 4. I remember putting in the tape, typing Load "*", 8, 1, eating supper, taking a bath, getting a snack and by the time I was finished the game would be loaded, type run and enter and off you went. BTW as soon as the disk drives came out my parents bought me one, they had to hide it in a suitcase it was so big.

We talk about this all the time, talk about some funny stuff.

BTW I had this lunchbox

Go-Bots were allright but I liked the Transformers better!  Aftr, I thought the red scooter guy was the gay one?

Anyone else miss hanging out in arcades??  I still remember when Mortal Kombat came out and the lines to play that thing.

You mean like "The Turn-Around" where I grew up?  That was strictly an arcade place on the main street.  All the cruisers used the parking lot to 'turn around' to go the other way.

Who else had Keapas with the double laces?  Or parachute pants?  A Micheal Jackson zipper jacket?  Colored Reebok hi-tops?  Blue denim jacket?  I still own, and wear, two pairs of Vision Street Wear skate shoes.
