The truth of this is simple though.  People who live with glass d**do's should not f**k stones...  The entire US electrical grid is on the net.  Face it, if they want they could have gone much farther much faster than what they did.  Shut down the power and then attack the sites for maximum use of information on them.

Hell they were already releasing info on people from the sites they hit.  Like Name, type of car they drive, their religion, their wive's names their wive's religion, kids and names.  Addresses.  It doesn't make sense the DoJ is shutting things down for copyright infringement suddenly.  It used to be that if someone used your copyrighted stuff without consent you could sue them for a share of the profits and royalties for continued sales.  But YOU had to do it.

Another one that even if you don't read the article itself, you should read the comments. There's some interesting stuff. Most of it however, leads right to that bad feeling I'm having.

The new profile pic is actually a sprite edit of Zero from the Megaman X series from Megaman X4 and beyond. The character I'm creating through the edit is called "Heat".

This is just a link that I found that may be considered interesting. For the most part however, the comments are what should be read. Seriously, even if you choose to not read the article, read the comments.

Well the calmer heads will have to be the Gov't.  First, they for the most part do not have the inner working knowledge of the internet the way that anonymous does.  Second, it's hard to arrest anonymous seeing as they don't know who they are and they bounce their IP's off of countless proxy servers.  And if the gov't starts shutting down all the proxy servers Anonymous will have made their point about this being far too powerful.

There really isn't much that Anonymous has said they would do without doing it.....  If anything.

I wholly agree with you there, I just don't see it happening with people using their brains before something major happens.

Thinking about how big of a file share site MegaUpload was.....things are going to get worse before better. Anonymous has members all over the world, all operating together. It's difficult to even catch one of them with everything their members know, it has to be near impossible to track hundreds of thousands of people all doing the same thing.

That already started years ago. China has been attacking us for a long time now.  Either the US or Israel created the Stuxnet virus and unleashed it on Iran's nuclear program.

I knew about that already, I'm just saying things will really get out of control. I don't see this as a situation in which calmer heads prevail.

This is just going to have bad repercussions. We're looking at the start of something that could easily have been avoided. There is going to be a horrible regression once all is said and done. I think we may just be entering into the First Cyber World War.
