Topic: Gears of War Friday night 05/23

I had a blast for my first GoW experience and being the target for you guys... Hopefully I'll be able to make it on this Friday.  I do have one request....no execution.  I have to be able to keep my distance to have a chance.

I'm in as well. What is funny is that half of the time I forget that we are playing exection, and I unload an entire clip into someone and they are still not dead. Then by the time I realize this, and run over, they stand up and blow me away with the shot gun. The funniest part is when somone tries to T-bag someone, and then the guy that is donw stands up and blows the T-bagger away.

Definitely get the map packs, there are achievements associated with both of them and they are FREE

we'll definetly be doing some warzone this friday.  But w/ so many, we can easily have multiple rooms going for those who wish to play execution or annex as well.  Make sure if you haven't that you download the two map packs that were released for this game, they are all free.
I hear you w/ the whining Kneiph.  I really hate ppl who think the lancer is too powerful now w/ the patch.  That's how it should've been from the start, it was an emphasis on cover in the game, not "oh, well I can just charge in, take 500 rounds of lancer and blow them away w/ one shotgun blast", not who had the better connection and won a shotgun battle.  Crybabies.  Thank goodness you won't have to hear it Olden.  If you kill someone w/ a lancer, chainsaw, boomshot, or grenade tag then you are a loser n00b that has no skill and they are far superior too.  So sad, you're dead.  This is gonna be fun, see everyone this friday.

what system is the GoW for? or is it PC?

XBOX 360....and its our for PC.  But i dont think you can play cross platform yet.

 .....I was getting wrecked by the chainsaw!!  I remember on one match, I saw you chasing me  with the chainsaw and I couldn't get a shot off to stun you and take you out!! It was a good time!  Its hard to find people to play with that just want to have fun playing this game.  Most of the time I play with random poeple and all they do is wine about the lancer and the chainsaw, I was glad to play with some adults.

The is past Friday was a lot of fun, I havent really played with many of you guys but i had my chance on Friday and it was a blast..

There are plenty of us interested in doing this, and we had a blast this past Friday night, so let's start the planning and notifications so everyone knows.  This coming Friday (05/23) will be a Gears of War night.  Dust off that copy, play a bit during the week so you remember what button does what, and practice your reloads, then let's get to chainsawin' and laughing.
