You're nice.   Laugh j/k.  I tried it once, failed, and lost 18 karma, so I bought 20 good karma just to offset it.   Even though you couldn't see it and I didn't know what it was.   Laugh

I'm not convinced the rob the bank isn't an elaborate trap to kill your karma. Tongue  After awhile I just intentionally tried to kill my karma so people would be surprised at how nice I am. Cheesy
March 15, 2010, 03:56:09 PM
LOL.  I guess you must've tried to rob the bank alot back when karma went away, and then they brought it back.  I remember considering it once, but didn't want to risk it b/c I was new and thought karma was kept track in secret.  Guess I was right.

On a plane from Denver to Charlotte following the Democrats' convention, I found myself seated behind former National Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Don Fowler and Congressman John Spratt of South Carolina. Their conversation was interesting to say the least.

For example, they made fun of Sarah Palin for several minutes, Fowler calling her "Dan Quayle" on steroids and Spratt creatively describing her as "just terrible." They both agreed that, "Other than the simple fact that she's a female," she has nothing to offer.

Then there was this gem of a moment from Fowler:

So you see, it's funny. That New Orleans will get a hurricane. That's funny because it is due to hit when President Bush is scheduled to speak. Isn't that cool? Fowler isn't the only one who thinks so, just ask Michael Moore.

We all know Democrats used and use Katrina as a political football as callously as possible. Here's a candid moment showing some can hardly wait for another one.

All Class.

BREAKING: Statement from SCGOP Chairman Katon Dawson

"The outrageous behavior of two of the Obama campaign's highest profile supporters in the south is despicable, a cynical politization of life and death. I call on Barack Obama to immediately denounce Fowler and Spratt and demand sincere apologies from these members of the Democratic leadership."

Eh, seems like a harmless candid comment to me, which I'm sure everyone will blow out of proportion since they're so sensitive and quick to get offended about everything these days...

from the title, I was expecting to see a link to an Obama campaign or DNC news release cheering the hurricane on. Kind of reminds me of the comments from some of the hardcore religious right that Katrina was "God's punishment" for all of the drinkin', sexin', and rampant homosexuality, or going back a few more years, from Florida's former governor Jeb Bush, who once said in a public meeting of the state Cabinet that wildfires in California were threatening San Francisco, "but that might not be a bad thing."

Basically, the scientific law of human stupidity is proven again. It's a hideous disease that strikes men and women, of all ages and backgrounds...and it's reaching epidemic levels!

Hell I likely wouldn't be on good terms with my wife.  Rolling laugh  You're right though.  We've all said things that are despicable but we're lucky enough to be no ones and can get away with it.

I thought they were going to blame this one on Bush.  Who knew God was a democrat!  You would think God would have an issue with the party that supports abortion not the party that is against it.  Go figure

My comment was made tongue in cheek. Will add disclaimer next time.
Political debate is a legitimate topic.  Especially, as you say spddrcr, when it is going to be an interesting one.  The fact is it was said and is in the news.  Newsworthy or not things like this are in the news. And the fact is someone that is a public servant and one that is high up in the food chain should know better.
At least the DNC candidate Obama had the class to come out and call for the cease on the attacks on Palin's family and to try and support the efforts down south for hurricane victims.  +1 for him!
