question for you guys
« on: October 12, 2006, 01:08:20 PM »
Do you all like the quick reply box?   Is it something you use all the time?    Or would you, or do you, use the reply button and reply that way..

Also, smilies.    Should we just have one or 2 rows of them and put the rest in the "more" popup box?   Reason I'm asking is  it would be alot quicker loading.

Can you guys tell that I like changing stuff, keeping it fresh.    LOL

Quick reply box? Guess I missed that one.

But yeah. The smileys could be condensed. I mean you can look and see which ones are used most and just leave them on the page.

I don't often use the quick reply box myself.  It's more difficult to put in a smiley, but mostly because you're not able to use the quote button for a smoother read.  I wouldn't miss the reply box if it goes.

The smiley's could be condensed I guess.  I really like having the variety available, but putting most of them in a popup window might make for a cleaner page.

Hey Keith,

I mostly use this handy Quick Reply box. The only time I really go to the reply link is when I can't remember a smiley code, or if I am attaching something like a movie or pic.

I don't know if you can put it on the Quick Reply box at the bottom, but one thing I have seen and really liked is a smiley link that opens a pop-up with all of the smiley's. Maybe you can put the link to the more smiley's pop-up in the description on the left of the quick reply box. I will be happy to populate the pop-up with all of the smiley's.

David, do you not have the Quote link in the upper right of the post. If you hit that it puts the post quote right here in the quick reply box. What's cool about that is you can quote a post make a comment, then quote another without loading the page again.

What your asking John would require me to edit some of the code for the site..   I think it's very do-able.   I'll have to look and see exactly what part of the code in what file will do that.

I was kinda wanting to hide the quick reply box, but after thinking about it, it could stay and I simply hit the reply button.   Sounds like I'm getting lazy.   LOL

I would like to narrow the smilies down to 2 rows or so..   I know.... I know...   I'm always saying something about the smilies.   LOL       Everyday I think I'm more like a woman.   I never can make my mind up. LOL

I'm confused.  By quick reply do you mean the little tab at the top and bottom where there's "Reply" "notify".....etc....?
The only other method of replying that I see is the "quote" option.  Am I missing something?   :geek:

Yep it was turned off.  Thanks and in the immortal words of my father-in-law... "Who knew!??!"

Well, I have no opinion yet since I've never used it.

I'm going to guess that I've turned mine off too.  Mainly because giggly blue chick stares at me while I respond.
