One of the worst things that you might see when you look in the mirror is a cold sore on the mouth. These are small sores that seem to pop up without any kind of notice. While they are irritating and can be embarrassing, there are some things that you can do if you're looking for a cold sore quick fix ( or if you want to try to prevent them from forming in the first place.

Vanilla is a good product to use when you have a cold sore. Dab a small amount of vanilla extract on the sore so that it will dry out. The alcohol in the extract is believe to speed up the healing process. Licorice is another item that you can use to help with cold sores. The acid in licorice stops the spread of the virus cells that are in cold sores. This will slow the spread of one on the mouth, and if you consume licorice on a regular basis, then it can help to prevent cold sores from forming.

After a cold sore has formed, you want to get rid of your toothbrush. The virus cells can linger on the brush, causing new sores to form in the future. Sometimes, you might want to pick at the cold sore to try to get it to go away. However, this is the last thing that you should do as you'll just end up making the cells spread to other areas of the mouth. If the sore has started to dry out, you'll just make the healing process longer when the sore begins to bleed after you pick at the area.

One of the things you can try on the sore to help it heal faster is milk. Apply a small amount to a cotton ball, and put the cotton on the sore. The milk can be applied cold, but it's best to use it when it's at room temperature. Organic milks is often the best to use as it doesn't have all of the extra hormones and steroids. If you don't want to use products that are in the kitchen, then use a bit of hydrogen peroxide as it will kill the inflection with the sore.
