Title: Age groups of your kids
Post by: davidAZ on January 18, 2006, 05:58:47 PM
Some of us are new dads, others are more, uh, experienced.  Just thought I'd throw a poll up so we can see where we stand as a group.

I'm not sure how to fix the poll to count your votes if you have more than one child in the same age group.  I guess you could vote for the next closest category.

Hey DavidAZ.   I edited the poll and put the age range closier..  Surely people don't have kids closier than 2 yrs of age.   :)     I had to reset the poll.   will you vote again.

Yea kids grow so darn quick. We as dads have to be careful not to let it pass without notice and time spent with our kids. So many dads wake up one day to find a defiant teen staring back at them without getting the chance to really bond or realizing how much they have missed.

Kids are wonderful and they can keep you young, all except for the grey hair they give you.

Reminds me of a joke.

Father tells his son that each time his son misbehaves it causes him (dad) to get a gray hair.

Son replies, "Dad, why does grampa have all gray hair?"

I voted in 4 different catagories!  Mine are 20 months, 5, 10 and 13.  Now, if I voted for every child I have ever had (I'm a former foster parent), I would make this thread explode. :violent:

I currently have a 1yr old a 4 yr old and a 7yr old...  oh yeah and that one on the way is going to make it so that I have two within the same age group of 2 yrs.  Have I said that I hope it is only one on the way...  I'm kinda praying for it but I've noticed that sometimes prayer gets the opposite results of the request.

 :righton:

I voted in 3 categories.

Nathan is 7 months old.
Anthony is 3 years old.
Izaak is 6 years old.

Yes children grow so fast.  Sometimes I feel that I miss my kids growing up while I'm at work.  My 7 month old now crawls up the stairs, can push open doors, and is starting to learn to walk...where did my little baby go.   As crazy as it sounds I would like another little one around!! :drool2:

My son just turned 2 in October. My wife is trying to get pregnant again, and I am unsure. I love my son, and yes I have gotten aggravated, and stuff, but all in all, I believe I have coped nicely. I think that since I am a stay at home dad, I don't have any nerves to fray at the moment. I'm going to go insane when he becomes a teen.

He becomes a lot easier the older he gets....  Aside from trips to the emergency room.  Girls get to be more and more of a running concern the closer they get 12 and beyond.

Thanks for reminding me! I had to update my vote too, so that it more accurately reflects. It is amazing! Jeremy was seven when Keith first told me about this place and I joined. Now Jeremy is thirteen, and I couldn't begin to count the grey hairs I have on my head now.  :)*

Man!  My little man is going to be 7 next month, I can still remember delivering him with my bare hands! I am with you guys, time does freakin fly. Now the wife is talking adoption, I am still thinking about it, but she is sold on the idea. She wants to go to Haiti and adopt a child from there, and then travel every once in a while to bring the child home to spend time with the family. Apparently that is a normal thing to do for people adopting from Haiti. any of you guys adopted before?
