Family Talk / Being Prepared Away from Home
« Last post by Keith on May 10, 2018, 06:39:18 PM »

It can be challenging to be away from home when a baby or toddler is along. Feelings of being unprepared for an emergency are understandable. Fortunately, there are some tips that can help a father as he is getting things done with his children.

Diaper Power

Young children seem to poop and pee at the most inconvenient time when they are out. A good starting point is to make a diaper bag that has all that necessary items in case of an emergency. When it is time to go out, remember to bring at least four diapers along, a package of wet wipes and a small container of hand sanitizer. These three items can prevent a father from tearing his hair out when a child experiences the call of nature. In addition to this, do not forget to create a diaper kit for each vehicle. Take a plastic bag and fill it with diapers and wet wipes. The kit can be amazing in case a diaper bag is forgotten at home or an emergency occurs in a vehicle.

Food Power

It would be an understatement to say that food matters to children. After all, children make it very apparent when they are hungry. It can be challenging to feed a child when out. However, it can definitely help to bring some food along whenever a father goes out. For a baby, bring extra formula in a plastic bag with at least one extra bottle. It can help to have an extra water bottle on hand when it is time to create formula. For a toddler, bring along premade meals as well as plastic spoons. A plastic container that is filled with healthy, dried snacks can be an excellent way to keep a child satisfied and out of trouble when on the go.

It does take some time to be prepared when going out. However, the investment and preparations are certainly worth it. Whether it is time to invest in a new diaper bag or custom labels online to help with labeling, helpful options are available.
Anything Allowed / Debt Management Assistance

If you need professional help to manage your current serious debt, a Christian debt management company such as Charity Fellowship, that has been in the business of debt relief for over 15 years, can provide the  proven techniques to raise you out of your stifling dilemma and give you back your life without the constant harassment and sleepless nights caused by overwhelming debt.

They can employ the debt relief services that will enable you to get out of credit card debt, stop those extremely annoying collection calls and threatening letters from debt collectors,  protect  you against foreclosure of your home or repossession of your vehicle that you desperately need to get to work, and get those loans off your record  as quickly as possible.

Additionally, if you have been a predatory lender's victim, they will show you how to be legally entitled to as much as $500,000 for the suffering you have been put through. If loans are made illegally, lenders are not legally allowed to collect them. A letter is sent to debt collectors or mortgage companies stating that your debts are perjurious or fraudulent, and the companies are required to stop their collection methods. If they do not comply, you could be eligible for that up to $500,000 in compensation.

Companies also might try to collect debts after the expiration dates. Every state has a statute of limitation governing debt collection that usually ranges from five to eight years. After that time, you cannot be compelled to pay that debt.

It is the mission of such a company not only to aid with monetary problems and financial difficulties but also to counsel people to help them solve their existing problems. It is also important to be a friend and be someone to talk to in a reassuring and knowledgeable way as well as being an appreciated source of food, housing, or clothing for the person and his or her family.

This type of organization can lead the way and show individuals and families how to use the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA) in simple and effective ways to clear away  and clean up their old debts no matter what your credit may be, re-establish themselves and their credit, and build a new and secure financial future.
Of course, she's a natural behind the camera. I might need some improvement! :laugh2:

Home Improvements / Preventing Home Damage Caused by Kids
« Last post by Keith on April 13, 2018, 06:44:09 PM »

Young children can sometimes cause home damages that result in costly repairs. No matter how well your kids behave, they might still break things and damage surfaces while playing or doing other activities around the home. Here are a few ways to prevent some of the most common household damages that are caused by kids.

Designate a Drawing Area

Children often love to draw on walls, and you might have to paint over your little ones’ sketches if you notice any scribbles that are hard to remove. Setting up a chalkboard, a whiteboard or an easel somewhere in your home can prevent this problem by giving your kids a place to draw. This will help keep your walls free of any marks left by crayons or markers. You should also consider buying some washable crayons and markets just in case your children end up drawing on your walls.

Protect Your Floors

Floors often sustain the most damage when children live in the home. To save your floors, you can try having Floorguard products or other durable flooring materials installed in some of your rooms. Olefin is a synthetic fiber that's known for its stain-resistance and works great for carpeting. If you have hardwood floors, you can protect them by applying sealant and leaving matts near entranceways so that your kids can wipe their feet before walking through your home.

Save Your Screens

If you have screens on your windows or sliding glass doors, your children might leave holes or tears in them from pushing or playing with toys near them that have sharp edges. Window guards that fit over your windows and block access to your screens often work well as deterrents. These window guards can also keep your children from falling out of windows. If you notice any holes or tears in your screens, screen repair patches can fix the damage.

Prevent Toilet Clogs

Most toilet clogs can be resolved by using a plunger, but some stubborn clogs need a plumber’s touch. If you want to avoid having to hire a plumber to resolve tough clogs caused by children, you should teach your kids the importance of keeping toys out of the toilet. Having your kids use single-ply toilet paper can also keep clogging down to a minimum.

Children and home damage often go hand in hand, but you can save much of your home from ruin by taking some additional precautions. Making just a few simple changes can help your home survive through your little ones’ childhood years.

While desperately awaiting George R. R. Martin completing The Winds of Winter, I listen to the occasional audio book on my drive to/from work. My last one was The Martian and it was fantastic. I'm looking for something new. I've heard good things about another recent book by the author of The Martian and may give that a shot.

I love Skyrim, and I'm really hoping they announce a new Elder Scrolls game at E3 this year. I've probably got a good 200+ hours in all three of the last Elder Scrolls games.
