Argh! RRoD!
« on: December 06, 2008, 12:07:37 PM »
It took two years, but it finally happened.

AND! - of course they're doing "system maintenance" and cannot process my repair request.

AND! - they weren't near helpful for a few other questions.

So, now the decision lies with:

1) Get if fixed
2) Buy a PS3 or Wii
3) Cut off my right leg and have it reattached at a different angle so I can kick myself in the a**
If nobody is going to bleed to death within the next 12 seconds, calm down there, Cowboy.

sorry to hear about your bit of bad luck.  I'd get it fixed.  It should be free and take about two weeks.

The family likes Wii.

I'd leave your leg alone or you'll be walking in circles more than you normally do.

Get it fixed. If I remember correctly you live closer to Texas then I do and it only took mine a week and a half.  The shipping time was the longest part.  It was in and out in a day.

Definitely get it fixed. The turn around time has dropped dramatically. Last year when mine went it took a little over 6 weeks i think to get it back. A buddy of mine just sent his out and had it back within 2 weeks. Should be covered for RROD up to three years.

Tony if you were sharing all those cheeseburgers with your Xbox you should have expected this.

BTW, get it fixed, the repair center is somewhere in Texas so you should be golden

Get it fixed, you paid for it, it should be working. I sent in my less than a year old Elite and had a replacement in a little over a week. I'd say to also consider a PS3 or Wii. The PS3 is great for exclusives and Blu-Ray titles, and the family will have a blast with the Wii.

Good luck bro.
