  • Let me show you my gall bladder. I have it over here in a jar. Oh wait that's an avocado. Hmmm, you may not want to eat that guacamole.

Wedding Cakes
« on: December 12, 2008, 02:35:48 PM »
I've always thought it would be cool to do big wedding cakes, my sister is having a bridal shower and I made a cake for her. This was made to look like the verbal description of her wedding cake. Oops, will repost pic tonight, new computer and new camera make me feel dumb  :laughat:

Cake making is truly an art.  I've been watching Ace of Cakes on Food Network and that stuff is amazing.  Or more accurately the wife has been watching.  She took the level 1 Wilton class for cake decorating and has a couple hundred dollars invested in the tips, and bags, and colors and other odds and ends of cake decorating.  That's where the trick is.  Anyone can open a box of Pilsbury and throw it in the oven.  It's making the shell boarder and cross hatch and roses and what not that makes the cake special, in my opinion.

Oh sure it's your wife that's been watching.   It's okay to admit that deep down inside you want to be that guy.  Hell I want to be that guy.  He's the shizzzznit.
