So I know there were talks of a DP Podcast and I was just wondering if there were still plans to get one going.  I'm just getting back into it on an Xbox site and would be willing to do a segment for each show (game/movie revews, the week's game releases like I post in the forum, anything).  I don't relaly have time to host it, but I'd love to help and contribute.

I am still hoping that we can.  I think it would be great for daddyplace.

We just need to get some of us picked on who will be doing it and after that, we roll with it.

No, it should be issues/topics across the board as found on the site and of interest to dads.  I can't wait to hear Jim and Brad discuss MILF trends in porn.

alright - I'd love to get this off the ground finally, and here's what I propose...

a ton of us are on Facebook also, and now the Vivox Voice app is available, which allows FB, and non-FB users (via phone) to voice chat while logged into FB. Every user has their own unique channel, and each channel supports up to 100 concurrent users, so there's more than enough room for whomever. If you're interested in being a part of this, install the Vivox voice app (after you get setup on FB if that hasn't been done yet) and let's get talking/recording/podcasting!

the app has gotten pretty good reviews, and vivox has used this technology for in-game chat in several heavily-used MMO's, so it should be reliable. It's obviously not the best software in general to record a podcast, but it's quick, easy, and free, and since so many of us are on facebook, it seemed to me to be the easiest way for guys to get setup, plus then we can incorporate FB stuff into the show as well.

I have this installed as well.

We really need someone or a couple of people to be in charge of this.  So if you want to do this, please post here.

I can help.  Act like a producer.  Help put show notes together, come up with show ideas, ect.  My schedule is very sporadic right now so I can't dedicate myself to be a host.  But I have a few years experience as a podcast producer/host so I'd like to help.

Well what we usually do is all the hosts talk to each other on Skype.  Then each host records their own audio.  Windows users usually use Audacity and Mac users were using Garage Band.  Then after the show, everyone uploads their audio to an online storage site or server (we used adrive.com).  One person pulls all the audio and puts it together in their audio program of choice.  They then line up the tracks and cut out any bad parts, add in segments that were recorded separately, add music, ect.  Then it gets uploaded to the site.  It's kind of a long process but it makes it sound much better than if everyone were getting recorded through Skype itself.  Now you can use a Skype recorder for call in guests since they probably won't want to have all the audio equipment, plus you can get away with it since it will sound just like a call in on a radio show.  The idea is to make all the hosts sound like they are in the same room.

Actually that sounds very complicated.   But fun.

How much stuff could we actually talk about here?
