Bad Storms
« on: August 02, 2009, 09:57:57 PM »
Man it rained so hard here today you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you out the window.  When it slowed a little we went to the Mall.  Kids fell asleep on the way back so I decided to take the long way back.  not a good idea as just about every road I needed to get home on was flooded out.  The main street in my local town was underwater.  Here's a video of it:

We could use some of that here. We're  in a severe drought. We are in stage 2 water restrictions, and will be in stage 3 in a week or so.

Dang Randy.   The roads you were talking about weren't like that, were they?

You don't have any flooding in your basement from all of this again did you?

We get wicked-bad storms that sort of pop out of nowhere, last for less than an hour, and then an hour later it's like they never happened.

No but I had to turn around several times because the roads were flooded.  If I was in my truck I would have gone thru it but not in my little car.
Basement was dry as a bone!

I may have attempted it in my truck, but not that street in the video. That was nuts!

People who think they know it all really annoy those of us that do.

No the ones I was talking about weren't rushing like that.  That street is the main street in town.  What a mess
