The Name of the Wind
« on: August 07, 2009, 09:29:13 AM »
I recently finished a new (to me) book called "The Name of the Wind".  The book is by a relatively new author but I have to say that the quality of the work is right up there with some of the best fantasy names in the business.  The story is told as an recounting of the main character's life, told by him in his own words to be recorded by the Chronicler.  (A well-known collector of stories)
The book really draws you into the character's world.  While there isn't a lot of armed or wizardly conflict in the book, you won't mind.  The story is the first in a trilogy and the second book is due out in November of this year, I believe.
