Lord knows we all need help during this coming holiday. I in fact know ours is going to be horrible. And I really hate that for Emily.

But the good thing is, she is young and I bet if you told her she would understand.    We will have to have the same talk with our kids.

I dont even want to think about christmas this year. we have always been lucky in that my wife's parents have always gone crazy at christmas time and bought our boys lots of presents. even last year was a struggle and i luckily won a radio contest and got 1000 bucks to buy presents for the kids and wife, it was nice being able to do that knowing just 6 days later i was going to go in to start the trials for my implant.

this year is looking pretty bleak :gaah:
my wife's father was busted by the irs and state tax board due to not paying several million in taxes and will be lucky not to do prison time, at least i have most of my health this year :laugh2:

Kids at that age usually are happy with anything that they don't have already. Do worry Pat, just save a little bit as often as possible. Stash $5 away. Maybe you might have to give up buying a new game or two to make sure she has a present or two.
We are going to have to sacrifice a bit this year also.

I'm hoping to sell my truck and have some left over after buying a Tahoe to spend on Christmas. Right now, if I can get what I'm asking, we'll have about a grand. Otherwise, it'd be really tight.

People who think they know it all really annoy those of us that do.

we should really start our christmas shopping now...although Cael is at that age where he would rather play with pots and pans and boxes instead of any toy...
plus he gets spoiled rotten from the grandparents and my sister..
