I was wondering about this. Help me out and let me know. It's been 5+ years for me and I couldn't be happier. Thanks dads

7 1/2 years for me.

But I just hit the sweet spot, both kids in school all day and the wife still works too many hours to be home for all the kid stuff, so I won't be ending my SAHD gig any time soon.

I have been at home now for a little over a year, might go 2 more years but I kinda want to go back to work just to make extra money, I have a side computer repair business but it has been slow sice August.

Almost 3 years here as a SAHD/full-time night & weekend job/full-time college student. It'll probably continue at least a few more years, possibly until I have my Doctorate, and who knows how long that'll take. Other than working weekends, it isn't too bad. I get to be home with the kids during every spring break, and anyone who knows me well enough to know about my job knows that I have it pretty good. I just wish the wife and I had some more 'us time' on occasion.

I have been a SAHD for around 3 years, it will remain the same until my youngest is in 1st grade.

I just hit 3 1/2 years. The original plan was a 6 month leave of absence from work. That became a year. Then two years. Then it was until my daughter hits kindergarten. Recently my wife was laid off, so I'm looking for at least part time work to earn some money. Hopefully my wife finds something soon to replace her old job.
