So I met one of the SEALs from SDV 10, the seal team that was written about in the book "Lone Survivor" today. Ben Souders came into the school today and put our wrestling team through a workout (3 kids puked). Apparently he went to school here and graduated in 2000. He went though BUDs training with Lt. Mike Murphy, the guy who was later awarded the medal of honor for his actions in Afgan. He was awesome and it was awe inspiring after reading the book and knowing what these guys went through to see him in the flesh.
To those who havent read the book, read it. Its the story of Marcus Lutrell and what he went though as part of Operation Redwing. A helicopter crew of 16 was later killed trying to reach Marcus' distress call. Ben was replaced in the chopper at the last minute and is the only reason he is still alive.
