Wow...
« on: January 21, 2010, 12:39:28 AM »
I am posting in this section of the website. I never thought I would be here, but here I am.My wife of nearly 12 years, has had a boyfriend for the last 6 weeks.I found out on Friday about the affair.

I thought we were going to go thru family counseling and put our lives back together, well I was wrong, instead she and her boyfriend are at motel 10 minutes from our house.

She is giving me full custody and She has also agreed to pay me child support,.and she will get them on weekends the main stipulation is that her BF will not meet the kids or have any contact with them.

I'll say wow!

I hope things work out for you Chris. Keep a paper trail and make sure you write things down. She may change her mind later and give you grief. Not that her messing around isn't enough grief. Sorry to here that things couldn't work out, but if she is shacking up I would say it is for the best.

Oh man Chris.  I know exactly what you are going through.  I'm so sorry that you have to go through this.   But I will tell you this.  It made me a better man and a better father.   I was only with my exwife for 7 years, but still.

I did find the right woman for me after all of that and I am very happy with my life now.

I will pray for you and the kids and I will keep you in my thoughts.   If you need someone, just tell me, PM me or call me.

:holysheep2:  Yup, the thread title says it all, "WOW!!"  I can't even begin to imagine or where to begin.  I wish you all the best though Chris, and I know Keith is a stand up guy, so if it says it helped him in the end, then that is definitely one positive outcome of all this.  Best of luck Chris, love those children of yours and be there for them.

Well here is an update..She claims she woke up at 2am (at the hotel she was with her boyfriend) after realizing the horrible mistake she has made.

She came by the house this morning before her work to see the kids.We talked to she wants to come home,I want her to come home. She realizes the marriage we had that was built on trust is gone, she knows she will have to re-earn my trust.

So I have forgiven her,she said she has forgiven herself. We are going to give it another try.I owe to myself and the kids, and even her.

Good luck, man. IMO, this is going to be more difficult than a divorce.

We removed her stuff from the motel they stayed at,with the assistance of the Fort Worth Police. This guy has broke crazy he saw how sad she was with him last night. He told her to go home, then his grown daughter calls my wife and tells her that he is threatning to kill himself.

So she has changed her cell phone number, she is in the process of obtaining a Protective Order against him,.(just in case) And I grabbed a printed email he wrote 2 days after they met. PSYCHO !!

We also have our first couples therapy session on Monday.
