Friday Get Fit Check In 07/9/10

The week started off lite for me, but ended pretty well.  Due to the inability to run for a few weeks, i settled for bike rides to get the cardio in and did some pull-ups and dips. 

I completed 2 bike rides totaling 26 miles and will attempt to do some CrossFit tonight.

Put in 29 miles this week.  Last 2 were tough.  I guess not sleeping well affects me :-)

Damn Randy! You're putting in some SERIOUS mileage. Has your weight plummeted?

My work:
Run: 6.5 mi
Bike: 36 mi
Gym: CFx3 days

Starting to notice aesthetic changes in body composition. Weight hasn't really changed. Bike performance is increasing, with sustained efforts on the flats getting faster and longer, but I'm really chewing up the hills. Most of my strength increase seems to be between my knees and hips. Strangely I'm up 20lbs on my shoulder presses but I haven't done much work with this exercise. Must be all of the pushups, pullups and dips.

I'm jonesing to do a long run this weekend.

Strange thing Bob is it hasn't.  I must be eating too many snacks or something.  I seem to have leveled off

not sure if it is the same, but they say that when you plateau in weight training, than you need to switch up the routine.

That may be it.  Have been craving some salty snacks so that may be part of it too
