Friday Get Fit check in 9/24/10
« on: September 24, 2010, 08:50:27 AM »
Ran 38 miles this week!  That included a 20 miler last Sunday.
After tonight 3 nights of cross fit.
Weighed myself today and I actually gained some weight.  My wife says it's muscle.  She's saying that she can see more definition on me especially across my back.  I hope that's it!

Great Job Randy.  That is defintely alot of running, and the new muscle defintion.  Looks like the CrossFit is working out for you.

I myself have been moderate on my amoutn of running this week, as i am starting a new half-marathon plan.

Run 10 miles
Bike 10 miles
CrossFit 5 days

Awesome job guys!

It's nice when the significant other notices the changes. My daughter has been funny. She always wants me to flex my biceps for her, then says "Daddy you've got a boulder in there!!!"

Not quite. But I'll take it.

Run: 5mi
CF: 6 days

so since you guys are talking about changes and everything i needed to take some more pics today, and let me tell you... Wow... big difference, especially the back from all of the pullups.  Looks much broader now.  Also lost about an inch on the gut and waist.

This should come as no surprise Keith. You've been working your a$$ off.

I hope our sense of community has contributed to that. God knows it has for me.

I know that I have to do the work, but the fact that you guys are doing it too is incredible motivation.

I'm extremely proud of what we've accomplished.

I agree, i think that the community aspect of it is keeping me motivated to keep it up.  It definitely helps, especially when you feel nauseous at the end of the workout.  It was no big surprise to me, but looking at the pictures from june to now, wow... my wife will not know what to do with me in 4 weeks!  lol.
