Friday Get Fit check in 11/19/10
« on: November 19, 2010, 01:28:16 AM »
Figured i would try to start up this weekly thread again.

This week i have ran 16 miles (longest being 10)
Walked about 15 miles to and from work and meals
ANd have conducted 2 bouts of CF.

THis seems like a lite week, however it was my first week back from leave, and i am still adjusting back to normalcy and sleep of being in Iraq.  Next week will be better.

CF x 5 days
1 4mi trail run
1 run up and down ski trail (don't know the distance but it took me 15:35)

Karen and I stayed at a ski resort in the Poconos for a spa getaway last weekend to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary. Saturday and Sunday mornings I woke up and looked at the mountain and wondered if I could run it. So I gave it a go on Sunday. It was a lot longer and steeper than I thought it would be. I had to stop 4 times on the way up but I got to the top. Lungs were burning.

Karen and I never get a chance to run together so we were really looking forward to doing a trail run. We did that on Saturday and it was awesome. Trail running is a helluva lot of fun.

great job Bob and congrats on 10 years.  I have only done a trail run once, and loved it.  i need to find some more when i get home.  The Poconos, huh.  i have not been there in forever.  We were thinking about possibly going there for a few days when we visit PA in march, but are now leaning towards Philly with my brothers *but that is off topic).
