I was going to study Wu Tan (Kung Fu), but wanted to wait 'till the kid could go with me.  They don't start teaching kids until they're 8 and by then, she'd started in soccer.

4.5 hours of soccer a week is enough for the kiddo  :S

my buddy did combatives with the marine special forces (scout sniper)

he came to bjj class with me having never done it before and held his own

which is a good thing, considering he just transferred branches to become a green beret!

I would LOVE to get back into this sort of thing but it's just not a realistic venture at this point. My son will be 4 this month and all of my free time is taken up by either family fun time or honey do's!  :LMAO:

I wish I could get into martial arts right now. I have too many things going on at current to actually be able to do it though. But I will eventually, more than likely I'll join some form of Karate, Kung-Fu, or maybe Judo. At least that's how I have it planned.
Below is actually a sprite edit of Zero from the Megaman X series from Megaman X4 and beyond. The character I'm creating through the edit is called "Heat".

I've always been interested in getting involved in some sort of martial arts. Especially now that the entire family has been watching the UFC Unleashed marathons (the kids call it "face punching" :)*) on Wednesday nights for the past year. Unfortunately I just don't have the time.

However if one of the kids wanted to get involved that may be my "in".

That's how I started karate/tae kwan do.  Tommy started it and I always wanted to take it so I decided to do it with him.  Just been to 3 classes so far but I like it.

I'd jump into a sparring match, even without training, just call me Mr. Unorthodox.
