100 Days of Movement
« on: January 01, 2011, 04:04:32 PM »
Saw this on John Bingham's facebook page.  He is a writer for Runner's World and an author and the guy who came up with my favorite quote: "The miracle isn't that I finished the miracle is that I had the courage to start"
Thought this was a pretty good idea.  below is his explanation of it and I attached a sheet to track yourself.

“Discover the joy of movement. The key is movement. I'm not talking about running, or walking, or cycling. I'm not even talking about exercising. I'm talking about movement. Intentional movement.
Beginning January 1, 2011, the challenge is to move - intentionally - for 30 minutes a day for 100 days in a row. It doesn't matter what it is. You can move for 30 minutes once, 15 minutes twice, or 10 minutes three times. You can park your car and walk around the block on your way to work. You can take your dog out for a walk. You can dance, or skip, or do whatever makes YOU happy. You just need to move.”

I can walk from my car and lay down on my couch.  LOL

I need my "rest days" - so, I'll walk slow :)
