2011 Army Ten Miler
« on: March 29, 2011, 10:51:47 AM »
I was looking on the ATM site and saw that registration for the ATM this year will be on May 15th.  They are doing a new registration this year where US Servicemembers and those4 who have run at least 7 ATMs can register on 1 May.  This will be capped at 1/3 of the total registrations (10,000 people).  May 15th will be general registration and will consist of the other 20,000 registrants.

Due to the cost of flying, hotel, and what not, i will not be able to make it.  I am not sure how many are interested, the option remains that you will be able to ruin as individuals or if there are 4-8 runners running it, you will be able to set up a DP team. If we have enough for a team, i will gladly pay for the team cost.  Just need to let me know.

i figured you were a shoe in, and know that Bob had expressed some interest in it also.  I hope that we can get enough for it.

thanks for the reminder.  Unforunately due to finances i will be unable to make it.  If we get 4 or more i will set up the team (if thats what everyone who is running wants).

:bump: I definitely want to do this next year! Ironically, I gave it a lot of thought while I was struggling to run 2 miles this morning!  :LMAO: I'm not sure yet if I'll actually be able to but I definitely interested!

Keep running, and you will be able to cover this distance with no problems. Maybe next year we an get enough dads to make a team.  One of these years I need to get back to DC to do this again.

Good luck with it Randy, who is the other dad from here running in it?  I am thinking of making this race a priority next year, after the marathon in feb that is.  Meaning I will save up for it, and do it with you next year.  Maybe we can have our first "true" daddy place team.

He's my cousin in law.  His name is Eric.  Not sure when he's been on here last but he is a member here
