Damn sorry to hear it. Glad you're ok and hopefully your home is too.

At least I know what that smell was. Since it's gone, I'm guessing you finally showered.

Norm where are you?  I lost power for about 40 hours.  Woke up to a foot of water in my basement.  My friend brought his pump and we pumped it out.  Then I fired up my generator and powered my sump pump and fridge and freezer.  Sump pump was keeping up OK.  Then my sump broke around midnight.  Woke up Monday to another 3" of water. Got my friends pump back, went and got a new sump pump and started all over again.  Then of course the generator ran out of gas and I couldn't start it.  The carb got junk in it.  My brother came over and cleaned it up and it started right up.  I was exhausted by 5PM Monday.  No sleep was had with the generator droning on.  People had/have it worse than me unfortunately.

The lower half of the walls were made with plywood that was painted so I pulled them off, ripped out the insulation and let the plywood and studs dry out.  Sprayed them with mold stuff and put them back up.  Luckily there was no damage to the hot water heater or the furnace.  I had fans on them for 2 days drying them out and they both started right up.  I was worried about my new treadmill also but that seems fine too.  I got lucky!
