2012 Races
« on: February 25, 2012, 12:23:42 PM »
Alright guys, so as my knee is finally feeling better i have signed up for just "a couple" races this year.  All in all if i stay health it should be a good year for racing for me.  Here is my list of races, a few of them are forwards from last year, and four of them are part of a "Four Seasons Challenge."  I am sure if i train smart i should be able to complete all of these.  San Antonio may not happen though, i am not registered and Quinn's birthday is a day later so i am unsure when we are doing her birthday party.  Either way here is my let of races.

Rock-n-Roll (Dallas)                                   3/25/12
Big D  (Dallas)                                          04/15/12
Hottest Half (Dallas)                                   08/12/12
Tyler Half Marathon (Tyler-Dallas)               10/07/12
Army Ten Miler   (Washington DC)               10/21/12
Dallas 13.1   (Dallas)                             10/27/12
Rock-n-Roll (San Antonio)Half Marathon   11/11/12
Decker Half Marathon   (Austin)                     Dec 2012
Texas Half   (Dallas)                                     01/01/13
Austin Marathon   (Austin)                             02/17/13

I was wondering what everyone else is planning on running the remainder of 2012.

Running the Long Branch Half Marathon in 2 weeks on May 6th.  Not going to set any PR's just looking to finish.  With the foot issue I've had/am having I'll be happy to finish strong.  I will finish!

Then I may sign up for the Warrior Dash in NJ on 7/14

And definitely will do the Army 10 Miler in DC on 10/21

My first two fell off,  picked up a 10 miler two weeks ago instead.  I still plan to do the rest though.  To include the ATM.  It is great, work is going to pay or it, I just have to set up a unit team.

Tough Mudder this Sunday @ Pocono Manor.  :BNB:

Would really like to do the Army 10miler again. Running through DC was one of the most memorable runs ever. It all depends if I can get in.

More than likely we'll be doing the Tri-State Tough Mudder @ Raceway Park in November.

Registration starts and ends probably on the 15th for non military.  Race sells out fast

How long did it take last year? Something like 3 hours?

Today was the Long Branch Half Marathon.  I finished.  Did pretty well considering all the issues with my foot.
