cool. how did you make your medicine ball, cut and tape, or fill and plug with a tire repair kit?

Cut a V shape in it.  Filled it with sand and duct taped it closed

Over the V and wrapped around the ball.  Didn't cover the ball with tape.  Just enough so it didn't blow open

Didn't get too much in this week:

19 miles running
Karate was closed this week so I didn't have that.  I'm working on my back deck/patio at night so if shoveling stone for an hour to an hour and a half for 4 nights counts then I'll throw that in :-)

Great work Randy.  My week was not too strenuous since we were in the field for part of it.

Run: 4.05 miles (heat training fore a half marathon in August), temperate was 92 when i started and 96 when i finished.

Bike: Officially started my bike cross training, with my longest bike ride to date, 9 miles.  Holy soreness in my hands and crotch, lol.

In addition to this, while in the field i was walking on cross country, rolling terrain for 8 hours in 114 temp (heat index).

I officially start my training for my half marathon in August and Army Ten Miler today.

Slow week running for me.  14 miles.  The holiday and other picnics and working on my deck/patio have slowed me down.  And the heat.
Had 2 days of TaeKwondo.  Good workouts both days.
does swimming with the kids count?

Sounds like a great week to me Randy.  And swimming with the kids does count.  As for me, i have been slowly increasing my mileage (actually increased a lot this week, but have alternated a day off between each work out.)

Ran: 20 Miles (4 days) (providing i run 5 today)
Bike: 9 Miles (1 day) (furthest to date)

Going on vacation next week, so hoping that i will be able to get my runs in still.  If anything i will run tomorrow and Bike Sunday so if it is a few days until i can work out, i had a few good workouts beforehand.  I have also been trying not to drink water on my runs, which sucks since it is 90 degrees when i run, to acclimate for my "Hottest Half" run in August.

I forgot I did an 8 mile bike ride on Monday.  Thanks for the reminder.  Nice job yourself!

I haven't posted in here because I don't work out and run like you guys do.   BUT, I have lost 25 lbs. in the last couple of months and I feel much better.    I weighted 215 lbs. before I started trying to lose weight.   I am down to around 190 but I have been down to 186.
