Cross Training
« on: June 04, 2012, 09:54:43 AM »
So to help supplement my running, i have finally broke down and bought a decent road bike.  Hopefully if i train smart with the two, i can improve my overall running.  Lets hope, we will see how i do in October for the Army Ten Miler.

Good luck Keith.   I swear I don't understand how you guys can run so much.  I would literally have a heart attack if I did all that you guys do!

Kick ass!  I've started up cross fit again.  Need to get in better shape overall.  Good luck with the bike!

As much as I should do crossfit, I do not have the time after 14 hours of work and then family time.  It is too far to go to get to the gym, so I am sticking with a cardio focus.  Do not really have the money to buy a bunch of equipment. Best of luck with CF

The version I do doesn't require a lot of equipment.  Basically just a pullup bar, medicine ball (I made from an old basketball), curl bar and a jump rope.  Attached is the schedule

That spreadsheet looks legit Randy. It's been 2 years since I started following CrossFit and it's easily the best thing I've ever done for myself physically and mentally.

Congrats on the bike Keith. How about putting up some pics?

I will put bikes. Pics up tomorrow, and will also hopefully be getting back into CF.  I have lost too much muscle mass since I got back from Iraq 2 years ago.

sorry for the long delay, here is the pic of my new bike.  Only 6 miles on it right now.  Hoping to get some good mileage on it this weekend,
