Like the title says, I am one of three hosts for a podcast (Which shall remain nameless) focused on mens issues, and the issues of boys on the verge of manhood. I am taking this poll to get a pulse for the issue suggestions listed. If you want to chat with me about other issues that you see affecting you, or your family contact me, user: COFFEEKEV. Thanks a lot for taking the time to check out this poll, and I look forward to seeing the results.

It's an interesting poll, though my own personal opinion is the emphasis and focus on "worst first" thinking that seems to have taken over common sense.  We all know what we got to do when we were young, without cell phones or GPS tracking.  A stranger was someone we chatted with, not someone to be feared.  Camping didn't involve $1200 worth of gear and 2 parents for every child.  Coaching your kid's team didn't include a background check.

Now?  I can go to jail if my daughter misses too much school (even if they are valid reasons to be out of school).  My daughter can get a police escort home if someone in the neighborhood decides she looks too young to be out on her own (or the police do).  It's absurd.

As to the rest?
  • Guns?  I'd prefer proper education over regulation (granted, there are limits to this as well...not sure anyone needs automatic weapons in their home)
  • Feminization and Masculinization? These are subjective and up to the individuals involved.  If we're talking about gender roles imposed on children by the parents, it's a slightly different conversation, but I don't know how this is different than any other type of indoctrination such as preferences towards sports teams, vehicle makes, food brands and even religion.
  • Dissolution of the "family unit"?  Based on whose definition are we defining the family unit?  Again, this is subjective and personal, not something that can be weighed and measured based on any theology or societal "norm"
.

Took me awhile to figure it out (for me), but yeah, takes a lot to ruffly my feathers anymore.  Life's just too short to get caught up in the BS.

That's the same way I am.  I haven't always been this way but I am more happy now that I am.

:whoa: your kidding me! Isn't that the complete destruction of personal liberty? I mean c'mon, Nannah dies in North Dakota and you gotta fly down to handle her effects, and when you get back your facing possible jail time?  School needs to stay out of your personal life. I think anyway, or maybe i'm just weird.
