Thanks guys! I did have a good day and good weekend. Since my birthday is so close to Fathers Day they kind of get put in together.  :)*

I had to work on my B-Day, but my boss took me out to lunch and then let me go for the rest of the day. We are money poor, but family rich, so there was really no huge celebration, but I got a pleasant evening with the family and then on the weekend went backpacking with my son and the scouts. That was the best Birthday/Fathers Day gift. The mountains were beautiful, the air was fresh and clean, and I got to spend the weekend with a few great dads and a bunch of awesome boys. I am sad to say however that when we backpacked out on Fathers Day the boys refused to carry me. I told them there was a merit badge for carrying Mr. Hannah through two miles of wilderness, but they wouldn't believe me! hmmmm, maybe they are pretty smart after all.  ~o)

They wouldn't carry you out??  What happened to the Boy Scout Oath??

On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

Would have fulfilled the help other people and keep myself physically strong.

Happy Birthday John!  Sounds like you had a blast, I really like how you put that you're family rich.  That really says a lot!

Hey John,
Sorry but I was gone to training on your birthday (yes, Fathers day also  :down: ). I didn't see this until I started trolling unread posts! LOL. That sounds like an awesome way to spend any weekend!  :beercheers:
