What is a Piling Boat Lift?

Boat lifts can make the ownership of a boat a much more pleasurable experience, as you won't have to deal with the physical exertion of manually transferring a boat into and out of the water. There are several types of boat lifts available, with each type designed with certain features and uses in mind. One type of lift is the piling boat lift. This style of boat lift is perfect for lake-front properties and marinas that open into calm waters. The average lift is able to heft a minimum of 4,000 pounds and up to even 18,000 pounds, so owners with larger boats won't have to worry about capacity issues. Features of a standard piling mount boat lift include:

sealed gear box protects wires and minimizes sound output
aluminum and stainless steel construction provides long-lasting durability
aluminum pulleys for lightweight use
cable winders that can provide custom lengths for cables
secure mounting to docks and piers

Some piling boat lifts even offer covered docking areas for your boat, so inclement weather won't be as much of a concern. You may be able to add on a small storage area on either side of the boat docking area; and for ease of access slip-resistant walkways can also be secured to either side of the docking area.
