URL/Text link color in posts
« on: January 19, 2007, 09:58:45 AM »
Hey guys..    I was reading through the forums the other day and I saw a post that said that it was hard to distinguish between normal text and URL or text links.

So I took it upon myself to change that.   I actually had to edit and make some new code, but I think that it works now..   We could probably change it to almost any color.    I use the new grey theme here at DP now so I choose to go with red..  Like this.

www.daddyplace.com

So, tell me if it works for you guys.  Also, since I only use the grey theme now.   The red might not work in other themes, so please tell me if the color needs to be changed and what you think the best color would be..

Thanks all.

I'm on the original theme and the red is an improvement over what the url text color was.  The red's a bit hard on the eyes, but otherwise fine.

Well.   If you have a color suggestion, just tell me..   it's easy to edit in the code..   We can have different colors in different themes..   So just tell me what color and which theme you use.

The red is so bright that it dances a bit on the dark background, making it hard for the eyes to lock onto it.   Try this color on the original theme and see how it works.  It's #ffff00

Or this one, it's #ff7500

it doesn't use html code.    just a simple color..  ex.   red, brown, blue, orange.   :)

On the original theme, I'd prefer orange.

Yep, that's why we are doing different color links for each of the different themes. This way you get the best match.
