Looking for mods...
« on: June 19, 2007, 10:27:56 PM »
Ok all.    We are in the process of looking for new moderators over certain boards..

Right now we are trying to get a moderator over the TV shows/Movies board.     So, if you love to watch TV and movies AND you like to talk about them, then please PM me or post here in this thread.

There will be certain requirements for being a moderator here at DP but they can be discussed  later.    So, if you would like to take this on..    Then get with us..

If there is another board that you have more knowledge in, or like better, then let us know..

I would more than happy to help out in any of the forum section. The New/Intro, Family Troubles or the Car section would be cool but anyplace is fine with me.

Thanks for all the responses guys!     I have some rules setup and I should've posted them earlier, but I have been working alot and I forgot too.   LOL

Here are the rules, if you feel that you can handle these and have the time to do it, then we can talk...

Quote
1.   Must be pretty active on the site and participate as much as you can.

2.   Must keep the board going.  I know sometimes there might not be enough members interested in the board you are a mod of..   That leads to #3.

3.    Try as much as you can to get new dads at daddyplace..   Talk the site up, the more active the site, the better the chances are that some new dads will sign up.

4.    Keep your board clean and maintained..    Unsticky topics that are outdated and no longer "sticky" material.

5.   Have fun and like the site..   If you don't have fun or like Daddyplace your probably not gonna do a good job at being a mod..

6.  Must be able to handle when people say something that makes you mad.   Don't try to make it worse.  Try to talk it out and if need be, get the admins envolved..  Because being a mod at daddyplace is a higher membership status.  A representitive of daddyplace.  And we all want all dads to enjoy DP and like it here.  There are many different kinds of dads and people, so knowing how to handle people is key!

7.  Must have been a member here for at least 3 mths so you know the "feel" of Daddyplace.

I would of course love to mod chick pics...but there seem to be so many offers already.

I would like to mod family troubles or a section similar to that.

I think we'll have to make every member an honorary mod of chicks pics. That should solve that problem.

There isn't a way to be a mod over the blogs..  :(     Just for admins to look after..

As far as being a mod over the boards..  That's fine..    I would really like someone that watches alot of TV to get that board going strong..   BTW.   I LOVE watching tv, that's the big reason I want that one going..

But like I said, just pick a board or two if you want and if they aren't already taken..   You got'em.
