Avatar of yourself?
« on: August 23, 2006, 08:42:30 AM »
Hey all.    Do you want to have a picture of yourself as your avatar, but don't know how?    If you want, send me a pic of yourself and I'll resize it for you and make you an avatar from it..     Just tell me if you want to and send me a pic..  I'll send the avatar back to you when it's done.

Doesn't the avatar function auto-resize?

Now that I don't know..  I have never tried it..   I just resize mine on my own and up it to the server.    Feel free to try though.   (testing purposes)    :)

Yes is does resize... I went in and adjusted the auto resize a bit two or three weeks ago to make it square and just a little bit bigger.  ~o)

If you want to make one like mine where it is somewhat animated, there is a great free software out there called Microsoft GIF Animator. It is an extremely simple program without too many bells and whistles, but it is free and easy to use. I recommend that the pictures you use are all sized the same if you use it. It does not have any picture editing tools. All the program does is transition in various ways from picture to picture.
